Kevin has become a good friend of mine here in Portland, Maine. He is truly a class act as is his wife and family. Really nice people. Selfishly, we'd love to keep them in Portland but hope he finds himself coaching in the NHL soon.
I met Kevin Dineen on Feb. 20, 2010 before the game at Rochester against the Portland Pirates. I mentioned that I and my son went through the same high school in Toronto (St. Mikes) that he and his father attended. Also mentioned that my daughter plays field hockey at UMaine and was too nervous to introduce herself to him when the Pirates played a game at UMaine this season. He was very gracious and thanked me for saying hello.
Hey, I know you collect the Kevin Dineen cards but i was wondering if youd be interested in his old stick? Hockey doesn't mean much to me personally but my dad worked at the Hartford CT, Civic center and got me alot of stuff when i was a kid. The stick says DINEEN 11 down the side and is autographed. He gave it to my dad after one of his games so it was used it some games and the tape is ripped up some. Email me if your interested, Thanks. Matt
I am getting married in 2011 and my fiance is a HUGE Whalers fan. One of his prized keepsakes was a personalized authographed Kevin Dineen card. I would love to replace it as a wedding gift. Would you be able to point me in a direction of how I would go about sending something to Mr. Dineen to have signed? He is such a fan we will be introduced at our reception to The Brass Bonanza!!
