This week I finally obtained a 1995-1996 Collector's Edge Ice Prism parallel.  It actually took some doing after I purchased it, as when I first received it the card had a big crease in the back.  Luckily, the seller actually had another (pretty miraculous after it took so long for me to find one), and after mailing back the creased card, he mailed me an uncreased version which I very much appreciated.  And here it is, uncreased, in all its glory:

Mystery of the Hurricanes Team Sets, and White Whale Found!

First of, in the last blog I speculated that there may be more than one 1998-99 Hurricanes Team Issued card set.  It looks like I was right.  I just bought another team set that appears to be from that year.  I say "appears" because there is no date on the new set (the other "Storm Zone" set stated "1998 Team Card Series").  This set has "Highwood Properties" on the front and "Litho Industries" on the back.  Most of the cards of both sets have the same pictures.  Fo... A New Card!

Welcome to the blog!  I figured this would be a good way to update what is new with the collection.

Today I finally had a new card to add to the collection!  It is:

1998-99 Hurricanes Team Issue #9

Now these cards aren't numbered, but from what I can tell Beckett.com just imposed its own numbering system matching the order of the numbers in the set.  Also, I received at 22 card set, some of which don't match up with the card...
